A Date With Death

A short, wordplay-themed visual novel made for the 6th Annual Spooktober Game Jam! You play as a "companion for hire" who becomes a 'dating coach' for a very special client. Will you have a "date" with Death or a date with death?

Important Notes

• It does NOT take long to load, please CLICK the loading screen to skip to title - I've checked it over a lot and for some reason (only on browser it 'pauses' on the loading screen longer than needed before title drop (it does not do this in the program - chalk it up to tyrano being weird, old, and buggy) - assests are likely loaded within seconds so just click/press to tell it hurry along.
• Adjust your volume during play - tyrano is buggy where the sounds are near muted unless you select options in the config screen (only on exported files) - which as much as i tried to code it in - cant funtion on the menu screen.
• We'll tighten up the story, words, grammar, for the final
• Status: More of a 'demo-trailer'
• Quit Functionality: The quit button doesn't work in browsers - it's there as a code placeholder for the full game downloadable.
• Content Warning: While it starts off with a more depressed vibe, it remains safe for all audiences—nothing M for Mature.

Lastly

Thanks to Danni's persuasion, we pivoted our studies to try and fit in a Jam together! The three main members of RGB Team, on borrowed time was able to produce this. 90 percent of this project, I made in 3d (even the characters have a 3d base) and we drew over most parts in 2d for style - the final will be in 3d with proper textures.

We’re a small new team that's been working together since the dawn of time, so we just became a group; the RGB Fusion Mix Team.

The final version will be downloadable and made in a different engine - this is trailer/demo. There is no way  the final game will run on tyrano, lol.
